Tears

They come like rivers
Burn the eyes like lava
Soul having drowned
Heart lost among
The sea of tears
Yet we always swim
Trying to find the surface
The river never ends
Pain never ceases
No matter how hard
We may try to hide it
Or to move beyond
The pain resides within
It lurks within the shadows
The soul never healing
The heart only scarring
Yet we still swim
Seeking the surface
Where the tears will end
